This week Priscilla (my wife) is filling in as Secretary. I think that is pretty cool! Besides the obvious benefits...we have worked pretty well together. I cant say that everyday we agree 100% on how ministry should look, but we work that out.
Since Priscilla has filled in as the church secretary my job has become a lot easier, yet it has become so much more difficult! I was content with doing Sunday morning class, but Priscilla reminded me that the summer is short and the teens are really doing nothing but waiting for something to happen. So Priscilla actually planned out Wednesday's and Friday's for the rest of the summer and it actually is pretty cool.
This past wednesday (yesterday) we took the teens to what is called Alki Beach. It would not be called a beach anywhere else exept for the fact that it is right outside Seattle. Lots of people go there to play volley-ball, so that is what we did with our teens as well.
As the professional 2 on 2 beach volley-ball players set up their nets, they got a very good show of how they should not play volley-ball from watching us. we didn't even have a real volley-ball. we were using a huge orange rubber ball that we stole from the M.O.P.S. storage room. We had a blast.
Well thanks for tuning in to Something Light I hope to see you next time as we explore the lighter side of Jeb's life.

Wow! Your wife Priscilla must be a pretty awesome chick! She sounds like she is the coolest girl I have ever heard of! I would love to meet her if at all possible!
Jebba the blog...hahaha...that's funny.
Volleyball with a rubber dodge ball is fun. It bouces really high and you can spike it way hard. Nice blog Jeb!
I think your wife is pretty cool. It takes alot for a youth minister to accept help from his wife when it comes to planning events and things. Good job Jeb and Priscilla! I never knew what a challenge being a youth minister's wife would be until I became one. We all have our own ideas, but it helps when we can learn to work as a team. That is still something I am working on doing better.
sounds awesome!
