I do have to give a shout out to Cascade College though, for purchasing our first vacuum for us as a marriage gift. It was a really good Feather light, that lasted five years and then started falling apart. It might have to do with the fact that you cannot adjust the level of the brush no matter what floor your on! But most likely it started falling apart because my son sprayed some highly toxic engine de-greaser on it which made the plastic brittle and start to break apart. Our little mechanic.

Are you sure you want to be advertising the fact that you allow your son to play with highly-toxic engine de-greaser?
Ryan, my philosophy is, "what doesnt kill him, only makes him closer to being super-human".
WE have that very same feather lite dirt devil... it was our first purchase for our house before we got married. Its been a good little vacuum, its been with us 4 years now. I know it isn't the best vacuum out there, but since i don't vacuum much it's pretty much still brand new.
I guess when we have kids i'll have to vacuum... but i guess if i let them play with highly toxic engine degreaser the crap on the floor doesn't really matter...
Ah, so the "Bruce Banner school of child-rearing" then?
Lisa: I have heard the same story from a lot of newly weds. That dirt devil featherlight was really popular back in the day. And yes children make the vacuum come out more often.
Bob: lets just say we try not to get our kid angry. it's like willow on steroids man.
on a side note. don't you hate the spelling of Vacuum. I feel as though it should be "vacume".
Trip to the zoo post?
Thanks for writing this.
your welcome Elsie
